Violin/viola lessons & Advanced violin technique by Mr. Robert Rozek
My mission is to provide my students with world-class education and prepare them for a career that will insure their success anywhere in the world. The trainning my students receive is unique and well-rounded in all aspects of musical performance and professional acumen.
Advanced violin lessons consist of Private/Studio violin lessons, Performance Masterclass, Technique class, Chamber Ensembles as well as Orchestral Studies.
Private/Studio Lessons – Balanced mixture of vaious technical approaches and musical styles. Training is personalized to suit the needs of the student.
Technique class – Includes varies types of techinical approaches , pedagogy techniques, historical evolution of violin playing, technical analysis and group discussions of world famous artists.
Performance Class – Emphasis on learning all the skills required to enable the student to achieve the highest level of solo concert performance.
Chamber Ensembles – Stradivari Ensemble, Quartet, Trio, etc. Emphasis on rehearsal techeniques, musical styles and concert performance.
Orchestral Studies – Preparation for professional orchestral auditions.
Violin Teaching Career
Robert Rozek is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music where he studied the violin with Ivan Galamian and Dorothy Delay. He continued his studies at the Academia Chigiana of Siena, Italy. There he studied violin with Franko Gulli and conducting with Sergiu Celibidache. Later he studied the violin with Nathan Milstein in New York, London and Zurich, Switherland.
Mr. Rozek’s teaching career began in New York. He held positions at Columbia University and The State University of New York. In the 1990’s until 2003 Mr. Rozek was professor of violin at the University of Miami School of Music. He is now the director of strings at the BC Conservatory of Music.
